A bodybuilder who injected "muscle oil" into his biceps has been told he is likely to lose them to amputation, according to a report.
A bodybuilder in Russia who became a viral sensation recently due to video of his incredibly swollen biceps may now lose his arms because of his decision to inject them with a chemical, according to a reports. Kirill Tereshin, 21, of Pyatigorsk in Russia has been informed that amputation may be necessary. The video he posted online is embedded at the bottom of this post.
Tereshin, who formerly served int he military, received regular injections of a chemical known as synthol, which doctors fear may possibly result in him being paralyzed, or having his arms amputated. The chemical is made up of 85 percent oil, 7.5 percent lidocaine, and 7.5 percent alcohol, and it has resulted in biceps that has resulted in him being called the “Russian Popeye.”
Tereshin wants to get his biceps up to a staggering 27 inches, and has so far injected one and a half gallons of the chemical to get his muscles up to 24 inches. However, a Russian doctors says that abscesses could develop and later inflammation and even a stroke. It may be too late for him to stop as the chemical will remain inside him for years.
Tereshin is unnerved by these claims about his health and even has ambitions to become an adult film star, according to a Daily Mail report. “I would like to get more than one million subscribers on Instagram and to stop working,” he said. “I love to be recognizable.”
Tereshin apparently used to inject himself up to 10 times times per day.
