Welcome to Bay Area BusinessWoman. Our publication was founded with the purpose of providing news, current events and information to local business and professional women.

Our intention is to build community by connecting businesswomen (and local nonprofit agencies which offer services to women) to each other and the larger community.

Since 1993, employment in women-owned companies nationwide has expanded six times faster than all businesses in today’s economy and one in four workers now work for a woman. The Bay Area is among the top 10 metropolitan areas in the country with the greatest number of women-owned companies — grossing nearly $50 billion dollars for the local economy.*

We will continue to focus on the economic success of all women and firmly believe in "Commerce With a Conscience."
