Spotify is the latest technology company to shift to some flexible work model following a Covid-19 pandemic.
The streaming company introduced Friday they have adapting a “Work through Anywhere” model, which will enable employees to choose whether they wish to be in the office full time, be in your own home full time or a combination of the 2.
The organization will also introduce more versatility around locations, so workers will be able to choose the country plus city where they function. Spotify will provide co-working area memberships for employees who have choose to work remotely but nonetheless want a dedicated workspace.
“As part of the ongoing Dynamic Workplace energy, we’re reevaluating our workplace spaces across the globe for improved sustainability, flexibility, and wellbeing to ensure that all of our employees, irrespective of ability or situation, could work comfortably and efficiently, inch the company said in a post. “The ultimate goal in our new design approach would be to ensure that employees have a location where they can focus, work together, and create—whether that’s in a desk, in a conference space, or in cafe areas. ”
A growing amount of companies are starting to think about remote work as a more long lasting option due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Salesforce announced this week it will allow employees choose whether they wish to come into the office again, stating “the 9-to-5 workday will be dead. ” Twitter and Square are letting workers work from home “forever, ” while Microsoft said workers will certainly have a lot more flexibility to work with home.
