Crazy couple says they no longer need to eat

Crazy couple says they no longer need to eat

A "Breatharian" couple is making a remarkable claim that many are treating with a lot of skepticism.

Here’s a story that will almost certainly make you go, ‘what?’ A couple that claims to be part of a movement made up of so-called “Breatharians” says they hardly ever eat, and they’ve led perfectly happy lifestyles as a result.

Camila Castello, 34, and Akahi Ricardo, 36, say that as Breatharians, they eat just three times a week, and even then only a piece of fruit or some vegetable broth. The couple lives in both California and Ecuador, and they say they don’t even feel hungry anymore as a result of their lifestyle.

Of course, many people dismiss the claims as ludicrous, noting that human beings cannot survive that long on so little food. Castello and Ricardo claim that they can survive on the “energy that exists in the universe and in themselves,” and that “cosmic nourishment” is all the food they need.

The couple has even claimed that they didn’t eat at all for three years.

“For three years, Akahi and I didn’t eat anything at all and now we only eat occasionally like if we’re in a social situation or if I simply want to taste a fruit,” Castello said, according to numerous reports. “With my first child, I practiced a Breatharian pregnancy. Hunger was a foreign sensation to me so I fully lived on light and ate nothing. My blood tests during all three trimesters were impeccable and I gave birth to a healthy, baby boy.”

Wikipedia states that the belief is also referred to as “Inedia.”

“Inedia (Latin for “fasting”) or breatharianism is the belief that it is possible for a person to live without consuming food,” the Wikipedia entry states. “Breatharians claim that food, and in some cases water, are not necessary for survival, and that humans can be sustained solely by prana, the vital life force in Hinduism. According to Ayurveda, sunlight is one of the main sources of prana, and some practitioners believe that it is possible for a person to survive on sunlight alone. The terms breatharianism or inedia may also refer to this philosophy when it is practiced as a lifestyle in place of the usual diet.”

Completely fabricated nonsense that hasn’t been proven or verified in any way, shape or form.

Why people would pursue and/or believe in this bullshit is completely beyond the scope of my comprehension.

Moderate level of fasting is good for body & soul, but giving up food, altogether is denying yourself something which makes you feel good and is abundantly available, obviously, for human consumtion.

Yes, human beings need food for living. However, “living for food” is something very different.

Alright, Imma let you all in on a little secret. You probably won’t believe it, hell, you shouldn’t believe it, but imma tell you anyway.

There is no such thing as breatharianwhateverismism.

The truth is that I am he who is the King of Kings and the Word of God. One day I decided that people in the service of good should not do without nourishment. So, from that moment forward I declared that one full measure of all the nourishment that I should consume, vitamins, minerals, water, carbs, proteins, etc, etc would find itself miraculously available as necessary to those who would find themselves in the service of good, but without being able to find necessary sustenance.

That’s it, I don’t like my declarations to be tested, so that’s why it fails under laboratory scrutiny. This is a “spell” for those who should be nourished but cannot, for no human should have to suffer hunger unduly especially not those who are causing good.

Again, you shouldn’t believe this, question everything.

It is by my faith that this works, not yours.

Also, I don’t know that this will work past my lifetime, for once I die perhaps it will cease to work, and then you’ll find yourself starving and wondering why it doesn’t work anymore. If you can get food, get it, if you can drink water, drink it.

I’ll bet there are a ton of readers who actually believe this story. Why would any credible news agency give audience to this nonsense. Oh, right… This is not a credible news site. I’m all for a better world. Try to sell this story to the starving in Sudan and other parts of the world.

This publicity scam is going around again?
A guy back in the 1980s was doing the “breatharian’ publicity scam until they discovered him in a 7-11 at 2AM stuffing multiple packs of Twinkie’s & Hostess-Ho-Ho’s down his throat.

Yeah, there was a guy in Santa Cruz back in the eighties who was saying the same thing..He was also a “Breatharian” and colleceted quite a following and made some headlines. Especially after a news photographer happend to catch him coming out of 7-11 with a bag full of sugary treats and munching on a convenience store hot dog…this is just another attempt at the same scam, its BS..
