You won’t believe who’s about to wage war with Donald Trump

You won’t believe who’s about to wage war with Donald Trump

The new president has created a lot of enemies in his rise to the top, and one surprising group is about to take him on.

They’re a group that has been instrumental in the crafting a policy in the United States and behind just about everything we know to be true in life, and now they’re about to take on the President of the United States. The rise of Donald Trump has resulted in an increasing willingness on the part of scientists to become a bit more political, a stance most hesitate to take but many feel is necessary as Trump threatens to tear down many of the institutions and much of the research they have worked so hard to build, according to a New York Times report.

The Trump administration has made no secret of its disdain for climate science and has threatened to dismantled key agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency and NASA’s climate research. Trump himself has called climate change a hoax invented by the Chinese, and he has appointed officials who are totally opposed to mainstream climate science.

As a result, the March for Science on Washington, D.C. scheduled for Earth Day on April 22 is gaining steam online. On that day, scientists pledge to walk “out of the lab and into the streets,” their website states. Many others believe that scientists should run for office to counter the anti-science attitude of much of the current administration and public.

“The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and a call to support and safeguard the scientific community,” their website states. “Recent policy changes have caused heightened worry among scientists, and the incredible and immediate outpouring of support has made clear that these concerns are also shared by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The mischaracterization of science as a partisan issue, which has given policymakers permission to reject overwhelming evidence, is a critical and urgent matter. It is time for people who support scientific research and evidence-based policies to take a public stand and be counted.”

Science has been turned into a religion. It’s Trump that will make it science again.
