There has been a massive outcry in Argentina after reports emerged the tourists seeking a selfie have caused the death of a baby dolphin.
The selfish actions of some tourists in Argentina have reportedly resulted in the death of a baby dolphin, and it’s the second such incident in the last year, according to reports. Outrage is building worldwide over the latest incident, when the selfie takers shared their videos and images on social media platforms.
The latest incident took place on a beach in San Bernando back on Jan. 22 when tourists jumped in the water to pull out a baby dolphin that was swimming nearby. Many gathered to touch it and take pictures with it as the dolphin slowly died from being out of the water.
Another incident in February 2016 at the resort of Santa Teresita in Argentina resulted in the death of a La Plata baby dolphin, as tourists carried the doomed animal around the beach for photographs, and then abandoned the carcass. The La Plata dolphin is rare, with only about 30,000 left in the world, experts believe.
Oh, such a major concern…..
Damn shame
Those people should be locked up!!!!
I feel there should be some kind of law protecting these mammals. They belong in the water. People need to learn to respect Gods creatures. These mammals are beautiful..I’d love to see one up close and possibly swim with one, one day.But I would never harm one or interrupt its natural habitat. Stories like this really irratate me :'(
Maybe the dolphins should switch it up and drag the selfish selfie yards in the water and take selfie s underwater while they are drowning
The resort and their guests should not be allowed to have ANY INTERACTION WITH ANY MORE DOLPHINS !! This is horrible to hear !!
