After months of investigating, the killers of "Baby Doe" have come forward and claimed that the girl was possessed by demons before she was murdered.
The killer of the Massachusetts girl who was discovered dead in a bag near Boston Harbor earlier this summer has come forth as the girl’s mother’s boyfriend. According to a report from Reuters, the mother’s boyfriend believed the girl was possessed by demons.
The girl’s mother, Rachelle Bond, age 40, was kept on $1 million bail and the boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, age 35, was held without bail at a hearing in Dorchester Municipal Court.
McCarthy is being charged with the murder of the young girl, whose name was revealed to be Bella Bond. Both McCarthy and Bond are being charged with the improper disposal of a body, and are pleading not guilty.
The body of Bella Bond was discovered in a bag this June by a woman who was walking her dog on the beach. The Boston Police Department launched a campaign that posted a computer-generated image of what the girl might have looked like when she was still alive. Not knowing the identity of the child, she became known throughout the country as “Baby Doe.”
Prosecutors allege that McCarthy, a heroin user that believed in the supernatural, killed Bella as she refused to go to sleep one evening. McCarthy allegedly went into her room to calm her down. Bond entered the room and discovered McCarthy standing over Bella with his hand on her abdomen, and her face was swollen and gray.
