 Following Her Bliss By The NumbersPublished: May, 2007  Sally Faubion Once Sally Faubion told a client that her numerological chart indicated that she would receive a sum of money or be honored in some way in the near future. The client was in complete doubt, however, little did she know that one month later she would be receiving a Teacher of the Year Award, followed by a $25,000 grant to travel to other countries to demonstrate her teaching technique. According to Faubion, a professional numerologist of more than 25 years, these sort of results are common. "I have done many readings over the years and have received many testimonials from people thanking me for helping them both psychologically and spiritually," she says. Although numerology has been her passion since she moved to San Francisco in the mid-60s, Faubion's first business was as the owner of a word processing service bureau, which she operated for more than 18 years. Even still, she used her knowledge of numerology to analyze each job applicant for their suitability to a service environment — a hiring practice, she believes, led to many longtime employees and a flourishing business. Around age 40 — yearning for a different way of earning a living — Faubion has created four lines of greeting cards based on numerology, and instantly enjoyed doing numerology readings and selling her products as a sole means of income. Now she loves being able to take a long walk in the park on a weekday if she feels like it. "I relish having the sense of freedom that owning my business offers," she says. Faubion is the author of Motivational Numerology and How Numbers Affect Your Life, and is currently working on a user-friendly website that will offer such activities as "How to name your baby by the numbers" and "What does your house number reveal?" Having studied and worked with numerology, almost daily, for the past 40 years, Faubion feels she could give herself an honorary PhD in the science. "I love helping my many clients with their quandaries and various life challenges and passages," she says. "Helping others is what I came to do in this life (according to my numbers).
