Marshall new post at IMOW
San Francisco - Corrina Marshall has joined International Museum of Women (IMOW) as Interim Executive Director to manage daily operations.

After five years of leadership, CEO Chris Yelton is stepping down. Yelton has decided to return to work in the for-profit sector, but will continue to live out her dedication to women's empowerment and will remain a close friend of the museum. "I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to build a museum that truly catalyzes people across the globe to stand up for the rights and needs of women," said Chris Yelton, whose last day was July 31.

Marshall's background includes more than 17 years' experience in not-for-profit management. From 2000 to 2006 she was the Executive Director of Stern Grove Festival Association and since then, has filled leadership roles for several Bay Area non-profits, including Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education, Frameline, Inc., and Committee for Green Foothills.

"Corrina has great energy, enthusiasm, and experience in leading nonprofits through change," says Colton. "We are delighted to have her lead the museum during this exciting time."

IMOW is "redoubling efforts to find the right physical site for a museum in San Francisco," said Marshall. "Our goal is to open the doors to a permanent physical space for IMOW in the next four to five years, continue to nurture our global online exhibitions and vibrant online community, as well provide unique programming and events in the Bay Area."
