A man who subscribes to the idea that the Earth is flat says that the SpaceX launch of Falcon Heavy was an elaborate hoax.
Justin Harvey was able to actually watch the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch recently from his home in nearby Orlando, but he still believes that the Earth is flat and the rocket launch is an elaborate hoax. The 30-year-old believes that this launch as well as all the others are just meant to distract people from other lands that exist outside the ring of ice he believes surrounds the Earth disk.
Harvey says that people like Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, are trying to fool people into believing in intergalactic travel. “I thought, there’s another typical rocket launch, I’ve seen plenty of them. I didn’t think too much of it,” he told Metro US.
He said that Elon Musk himself said that the launch did n ot look very real, and that the rocket likely did a curve over the Atlantic Ocean and ended up in the water rather than actually going into space, which he does not believe exists at all. He thinks Musk was chosen by the government itself to push the idea of space travel.
“Was he picked up as his PayPal thing, and then groomed into being the so-called first civilian space agency to try and take some pressure of of nasa and make it seem like we are progressing with civilian space travel?” he said according to Metro US. “I think that may be the case.”
