Watch the trailer for the new Peanuts Movie, slated for release in theaters this November 6th.
While there are many animated feature films due out before the end of 2015, most people are extremely excited to see “The Peanuts Movie,” bringing everyone’s favorite characters Charlie Brown and Snoopy to the big screen. According to a report from ScreenRant, the film will hit theaters this November 6.
The Peanuts Movie, written by the late author and creator of the classic Peanuts comic strip, Charles Schulz’s son and grandson, Craig and Bryan Schulz, was directed by Steve Martino and produced by Paul Feig. Based on the footage in the trailer, which was recently released, Peanuts fans can expect to see all of their old favorite characters, including Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Chuck, and even the Little Red-Haired Girl.
Fans of the classic Peanuts will be pleased by the lack of effort to modernize the series; the story stays true to its roots and doesn’t attempt to reboot the timeless characters for 21st century audiences. The comic strip was first introduced in the 50’s, and has enjoyed popularity for multiple generations for its wholesome messaging and classic jokes.
The possibility that the film will fly over the heads of youngsters who can’t look up from their cellphones remains, but older folks who grew up with the Peanuts are likely to make the Peanuts Movie a rousing success.
