An Apple a day keeps users happy and loyal but, with a new program from Samsung, would users be willing to rent a Samsung device for 30 days for a dollar?
According to WOOD Radio, Samsung is tempting users that currently own an iPhone with a nice offer. Instead of using your iPhone, for one dollar, Samsung would let you rent out one of their flagship phones for 30 full days to you!
The phones available, which include the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, both which sport a 5.7 inch screen, would be yours for 30 days with an activated SIM card, allowing you to utilize not only the calling portion of the phone but also use 30 days of data.
From the article, there is no mention of a data allotment for users that do take the bait and sign up for the program. There is also no mention of any limitations placed on the device, such as pre-installed apps that would gauge your usage, any pre-existing settings that also would change how the device worked.
However, there is one thing that it does mention: in order to qualify for this 30 day rental period, users HAVE to sign up for the program on their iPhone.
Going after a target audience, Samsung brings the battle right into Apples front yard with the loyal user base it’s cultivated.
After the loss of the court case in 2012, according to CNET, Samsung was expected to pay out almost $1.05 billion dollars in damages to the California based company.
With the fallout from the court case, Samsung as geared up their recent grab with this exclusive offer for iPhone users.
